Experiment with object Medieval Castle processed with Metashape software.
This experiment used a collection of images with 62 photos.
The first model contains a dense cloud with 1.2M points without noise.
Generated from a sparse cloud with 20.156 points presented in model 4.
Model 2 with 64653 points and manual noise cut and Model 3 with 94079 points with noise. Both are results of the lowest point cloud generated from the sparse cloud represented in model 4.
Model 5 has 99920 faces of wireframe mesh model mannually optimized.
The base model was produced on a 3D printer and is disponible on site thingiverse.
The base model has 22 parts that have been fitted and fixed.
After the image acquisition step, data processing was performed in the software, we cut noisy points resulting in a textured 3D model.
After obtaining 3D results, the point cloud was exported.
